Blueprint for a World Class Digital Government
In the Scottish Government’s digital strategy Derek Mackay, Cabinet Secretary Finance and the Constitution, defines that a keystone goal for realizing the goal of the nation become a global digital leader is:
“A World-Class Digital Scotland requires a World-Class Digital Government.”
However as Jim Hamill writes for Digit significant challenges need to be overcome for this vision to be realized:
“Most public sector organisations remain at an early experimental stage on their transformation journey. Few have yet fully embedded digital technology at the core of everything they do.”
Our Roadmap program is intended to support achieving this goal through two primary work streams:
Collation and documentation of exemplar best practices from across the Scottish public sector, to showcase leadership scenarios that can be emulated by other agencies.
A Technology Roadmap for envisioning and describing a future state target architecture and operating model.
